The selection process for the Railway Group D Recruitment 2025 involves the following stages:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Exam Pattern:
    • Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates).
    • Total Questions: 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
    • Subjects:
      • General Science
      • Mathematics
      • General Intelligence and Reasoning
      • General Awareness and Current Affairs
    • Marking Scheme:
      • +1 mark for each correct answer.
      • -1/3 negative marking for incorrect answers.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • Conducted for candidates who qualify the CBT.
  • Criteria:
    • Male Candidates:
      • Lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes without putting the weight down.
      • Run 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
    • Female Candidates:
      • Lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes without putting the weight down.
      • Run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds.

3. Document Verification

  • Candidates who clear the PET will be called for document verification.
  • Required Documents:
    • Educational certificates
    • Identity proof
    • Caste/category certificate (if applicable)
    • Disability certificate (for PwBD candidates)

4. Medical Examination

  • Conducted to ensure the candidate is medically fit for the post.
  • Standards:
    • Clear vision without color blindness.
